EST acquired TSHR in 2015 and later combined the two companies into a single brand. The branding below shows the first step in the transition from these two companies into one.
While both corporate identities had been identified, combining them involved an effort in design, color and typography. TSHR was able to adopt the EST analytical brand colors while adding two grays, one for the ampersand and one for the three-color logomark of TSHR
While the 6000 and 7000 systems, as they were previously named, already had some market share, EST wanted to brand their instruments uniquely to celebrate the transition of the two companies merging together. New names were chosen and product logos were developed to help mark this transition.
Working closely with our partners these two designs sum up the two main platforms that TSHR relies of for revenue. I executed the 3D renderings of the products themselves and the product branding, while relying on our team overseas for the layout.
With the 6000 and 7000 now established as the NEXIS and NEXIS VP, there were new products on the horizon. The eQP offered the same functionality as its larger counterparts in a smaller footprint. We hit the ground running with some new corporate messaging that I defined as well as some imagery that I executed from the marketing team.
The product renders were done in Keyshot and the rest of the image was completed in Photoshop. With the initial idea from management to depict our products on a pedestal my task was to write the copy and present the final design here in the US and in Rotterdam.
Analytica, a bi-annual tradeshow in Germany is one of the largest expos of analytical instrumentation in the world. EST and TSHR would be combining their product line, for the first time, and presenting all of our instruments side by side.
The content for the booth was highly dependent upon the placement of the instruments in the booth. To the left, we had environmental applications of air, water and soil, in the middle we had the FLEX, representing consumer products and to the right we had our petrochemical instruments. Branding for the three needed to be cohesive while still communicating the unique advantages of each product.
EST and TSHR have had such success in their combined efforts that they were recently acquired by a private equity group. They are now part of the Skalar instrument group.
