The heart of the EST Analytical corporate identity system are it's three logos. The EST analytical logo partnered with its service component, the "Solutions Group" and it's online parts store make up the three major revenue streams of the company.
The EST analytical logo was designed in 2009 during an internship that I completed as part of the University of Cincinnati DAAP program.
The Solutions Group brand was created to identify the unique benefits of the EST analytical service department.
The EST analytical parts store brand was created to advertise unique cost saving parts promotions.
When it came time to design the A08, EST analytical turned to myself and a sketch artist to design the front cover. We had our fair share of challenges but the following iterations all led to the final result.
The final design iteration had a colorful swoop in the bottom right corner. However an instrument logo was still to come.
With an instrument logo completed we utilized the large swoop from our early design iterations although we turned it gray. We also recessed the EST symbol to complete the final design.
With corporate logos and instrument designs complete, it was time to focus on what makes our products special.
The ARID Water Management comes down to three basic features. They are all unique product advantages when compared to the competition.
Desorb flow control allows for a cleaner system. The resulting two flows can be seen here diverting along the path through the “F”
The 8 port valve is a unique feature that allows for flow to bypass the moisture reduction trap.
The Moisture Reduction Trap collects all of the moisture so the sample can be more precisely analyzed.
With the corporate branding under control it was time to market our brand at a trade show. We set out to create a presence at the National Environmental Measurement Conference (NEMC).
In this 10' x 10' pop up booth the spiral of water is controlled by a ring emblazoned with the EST analytical tagline and the application, "Purge and Trap" that defines the function of our instruments.
The EST analytical corporate identity is undergoing changes. However our branding will largely stay the same. We have been purchased by a larger private equity group that already houses other brands. That being said, the EST logo and branding will be the face of this group in North America.
